FAQ
  • What is a Naturopathic Doctor?
Naturopathic doctors are licensed healthcare practitioners who are trained in 4 years of naturopathic medical school. They do comprehensive testing to find the root cause, diagnose, and utilize functional medicine to treat various health conditions. They integrate traditional healing practices with modern scientific knowledge, emphasizing lifestyle changes, nutrition, herbal medicine, physical therapies, and other natural therapies. Naturopathic medicine often involves personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs.
  • Do you take health insurance?
The California Board of Naturopathic Medicine states, "More and more insurance companies are covering naturopathic care. Check with your health insurance provider to be sure. In some cases, you may have to pay for naturopathic services, then submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement." We accept HSA/FSA cards.
  • How does it work?
We start with a 1-hour initial consultation, during which we review your chief concerns and symptoms, complete medical history, and do a physical exam. During this visit, we may recommend some labs, diet and lifestyle changes, and nutraceuticals to start with. Follow-up appointments are scheduled based on each patient's need and are usually allocated for going over lab results and starting/modifying our treatment plans.
