Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
A Naturopathic Doctor (ND) is a licensed healthcare practitioner trained in a 4-year naturopathic medical school. NDs perform comprehensive testing to identify the root causes of health issues and use functional medicine to treat various conditions. They combine traditional healing practices with modern scientific knowledge, focusing on lifestyle changes, nutrition, herbal medicine, physical therapies, and other natural therapies. Treatment plans are personalized to meet each individual's unique needs.
Many insurance companies are starting to cover naturopathic care. Please check with your health insurance provider to confirm. In some cases, you may need to pay for services upfront and then submit a claim for reimbursement. We also accept HSA/FSA cards.
During your first visit, we will conduct a 1-hour initial consultation to review your main concerns, symptoms, and complete medical history. We will also perform a physical exam. Based on this, we may recommend lab tests, dietary and lifestyle changes, and nutraceuticals. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled as needed to discuss lab results and adjust your treatment plan.
You can find Nomad Functional Medicine at 1024 Iron Point Rd, Folsom, CA 95630. Dr. Bat sees patients by appointment and also offers telemedicine virtual appointments.
